In the heart of a dispute is lawyer Sana Raees Khan, who is renowned for defending well-known clients in a range of legal matters. Indrani Mukerjea, the main suspect in the Sheena Bora murder case, was defended by Sana throughout her legal career. She also represented a co-accused in the Cordelia drug case, which was connected to the arrest of Bollywood celebrity Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan.
Controversy Arises Over Advocate Sana Raees Khan ‘Bigg Boss 17’ Stint
Sana’s participation on the reality show hasn’t been well appreciated; Bombay High Court counsel Ashutosh J. Dubey raised his concerns and referred to it as a “violation of Bar Council rules.” The lawyer responded by formalizing his grievance with the Bar Council of India as a “serious matter of professional misconduct.” Using his social media sites, Mr. Dubey tweeted the complaint letter with the statement, “I have formally notified the Bar Council of India that Advocate Sana Raees Khan has participated as a contestant in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 17,’ which is a violation of Bar Council Rules.”

“Advocates are not allowed to engage in any other occupation to produce revenue,” he stated. According to rules 47 to 52 of the Bar Council of India Rules, this is done. Furthermore, Advocates Act, 1961, Section 49(1)(c) prohibits practicing attorneys from engaging in full-time employment in any other professions. Ankita Lokhande, Jigna Vora, Munawar Faruqui, Vicky Jain, Aishawrya Sharma, Neil Bhatt, Mannara Chopra, Navid Sole, Anurag Dobhal, Soniya Bansal, Firoza Khan, Sunny Arya, Rinku Dhawan, Arun Mashettey, Isha Malviya, and Abhishek Kumar are among the other competitors on Bigg Boss 17.
